Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center nurse recognized for extraordinary service

EPHRAIM MCDOWELL HEALTH

News release

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for his extraordinary patient care.  Jordan Sallee, R.N., a nurse in the Cardiovascular Unit at EMRMC, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award.  A resident of Casey County, Jordan has been caring for patients at EMRMC for four years.

He was nominated by a patient who said, “Jordan was the charge nurse when I got admitted.  He came into my room and helped the nurses get me settled in and answered my questions.  He showed me kindness and respect, was very helpful and settled my nerves as I am an 80 year old who has not been hospitalized since giving birth.”

Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day.  Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
