Junction City residents arrested on drug, other charges

Two Junction City residents were arrested and face multiple drug charges after a Thursday night as part of an investigation.

Boyle County sheriff’s K9 deputy Tanner Abbott conducted a narcotics investigation on Shelby Street in Junction City just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday that resulted in a search warrant being obtained.

As a result, methamphetamine, heroin, steroids, marijuana, Xanax, Suboxone, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun, along with cash were found at the residence.

Nicholas Dunn, 33, and Jima Thomas, 39, both of Junction City, were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of steroids, possession 2nd degree, possession 3rd degree, drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a minor, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Both were lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

Assisting deputies include deputy Braydon Hooper, deputy Brandon Jewell, deputy Nathan Brown, deputies Simpson, and Shephard.
