Man arrested in Lexington murder case will face robbery charge from Danville Police

The suspect in an armed robbery case in Danville on June 27 has been arrested by Lexington Police and is facing several charges in multiple counties, including charges of murder and tampering with evidence in Fayette County.

David Lee Sayre, 29, was arrested by Lexington Police Wednesday in connection with the death of Earl Parvin, who was found deceased with a gunshot wound outside of Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington in July 2019.

A report from the Danville Police Department states that Danville Police Detective AJ Mullins worked with the Lexington Police during the investigation and the Danville Police Department plans to charge Sayre with first-degree robbery in connection with the armed robbery that took place at Liquor Mart earlier this week.

In that incident, Danville Police say they responded to a call after 11 p.m. on June 27 to Liquor Mart on Jane Trail in which a man had approached the counter, brandished a knife, and demanded money from an employee before fleeing out the door.

In addition to the murder and tampering with evidence charges, Sayre is also facing two robbery charges in Fayette County that occurred on June 25 and 26, along with a robbery charge in connection with a robbery at a Circle K in Jessamine County.

The investigation into the robbery charges was a joint investigation between the Danville Police Department, Nicholasville Police Department, and Lexington Police Department.

Danville Police are planning to present the robbery charge to a grand jury.
